A week after floods devastated the Texas Hill Country, President Trump visited the area, meeting with first responders and victims' families. Meanwhile, residents whose homes were destroyed are starting to pick up the pieces. NBC News' Morgan Chesky reports. The preliminary report on the Air India plane crash that killed hundreds indicates what the pilots said to each other just before the plane collided into a building. Investigators at this point appear to be focused on the actions of the pilots after takeoff. NBC News' Tom Costello reports. Deputy F-B-I Director Dan Bongino is considering resigning after a heated confrontation with Attorney General Pam Bondi, according to a person who has spoken with Bongino and a source familiar with his interactions with Bondi. NBC News' Gabe Gutierrez reports. Arkansas prison officials gave new details in the escape of convicted murderer Grant Hardin. The north rim of Grand Canyon National Park has now been closed and evacuations have been ordered as a wildfire is spreading. Soaring temperatures are making it hard to combat the flames. NBC News' Steve Patterson reports. They say Hardin made a makeshift uniform, with a sharpie, bible cover and a can lid. NBC News' Priya Sridhar has the story. He used his Ford F-150 to stop a gunman in the parking lot outside a Michigan church on a Sunday morning in June helping to save dozens of lives. But Deacon Richard Pryor's pickup was rendered unusable from gunfire. Now, he's riding in a brand-new truck thanks to a local dealership and a grateful community.
