Look of a Killer - Season 1

Former Russian KGB agent Viktor Kärppä has settled in Finland, the country of his ancestors. Now working as a private investigator, he is trying to forge a life of tranquility and order with his new girlfriend Marja Takala, an independent-minded academic who likes to keep thing simple. But then a kindly antiques dealer hires him to find his missing Estonian wife, which leads Viktor to a high-stakes robbery that appears to be the work of a well-known Estonian criminal.

To solve the double murder, Viktor turns to an old friend for help. But then he receives an offer that he can't refuse without putting the life of his girlfriend Marja in jeopardy.

Young people in Helsinki have been dying from drug overdoses due to a new synthetic heroin that is imported from Russia. The "Russian Mafia" in Saint Petersburg suspects that Victor and his ne'er-do-well brother Aleksei are responsible for bringing in the fake heroin, and threaten both brothers, as well as Viktor's girlfriend Marja.

With his refusal to protect the shipments of heroin into Helsinki, Viktor has to go head to head with the Russian mafia.

Viktor is confronted by two men demanding he hand over his business assets. Tensions escalate quickly after he refuses to be extorted.

Viktor has no choice but to illegally cross the border into Russia in order to rescue his kidnapped girlfriend Marja. Fortunately, he has Teppo at his side to aid him.

The husband of Viktor's estranged cousin has gone missing while working illegally in Finland. Viktor discovers a connection with one of his tenant's criminal operations.

After intercepting a drug shipment bound for Helsinki, Viktor finds himself under threat from a Russian gangster. He looks for a way out in order to protect his family.
