A corpse find in a remote forest area confronts Chief Prosecutor Bernd Reuther with the opaque machinations of an elite business club. The dead are Irina Hofstetter. Forensic doctor Dr. Sahra Darbandi identifies various forms of violence on the victim's body. In addition, the evidence ensures a striking piece of material at the scene. Chief Commissioner Kerstin Klar and Commissioner Max Fischer are looking for a conversation with Leonie Warmers, the best friend and colleague of the dead. Leonie Warmers had recently reported Irina Hofstetter missing. The commissioners learn from her that Irina Hofstetter should have started a new job with a renowned pharmaceutical company shortly after her death. Oddly enough, the company boss Dr.
Berthold Lazos told Bernd Reuther nothing about a new employee. Jonas Domaschke, the ex-boyfriend of the murdered, also puzzles the investigators. What was his relationship with the victim like? And why did Domaschke's sports weapon suddenly disappear? The investigation shows that Alexander Gruber got the job that Irina Hofstetter had actually promised. When Reuther feels that Alexander Gruber and his mother Miriam Gruber on the tooth, he notes that Alexander appears to be a member of an elegant business club. Dr. Berthold Lazos and Dr. Christian Weissgerber, with whom the victim was treated, belongs to this club. Not to forget undertaker Ralf Seiler, who takes care of the funeral of Alexander's recently deceased father Hubertus Gruber.
Reuther suspects the solution to the tricky fall behind the scenes of the mysterious club.
