Auf einem freien Feld in der Nähe des Berliner Flughafens liegt die Leiche einer attraktiven Frau in Stewardessen-Uniform. Ihre Haltung ist bizarr verdreht, sie muss aus großer Höhe gefallen sein. Doch nicht der Sturz ist die Todesursache, sondern eine zuvor zugefügte Kopfverletzung. Rätsel geben Schumann und seinen Kollegen außerdem kleine Elfenbeinkügelchen auf, die sie verstreut im Umkreis der Leiche finden. Sie stammen wohl aus einem Koffer, der nur wenige Meter entfernt gefunden wird, und sind offenbar Reste einer größeren Menge, die sich darin befand. Die Tote ist Ricarda Lohberg. Ist sie Opfer in einem Schmuggelfall geworden? Den Ermittlern gelingt es, den Piloten der Maschine, aus deren Fahrwerkschacht Ricarda gefallen ist, ausfindig zu machen: Kai Embacher, der eindeutig etwas zu verbergen hat. Ins Visier der Kommissare gerät auch Tayo Yeboah, der junge, nigerianische Ehemann der Toten. Ricardas innigster Wunsch war es, jung und makellos zu bleiben. Neben zahlreichen Schönheits-OPs vermittelte letztlich auch Tayo der alternden Stewardess das Gefühl, nach wie vor schön und begehrt zu sein. Hat er aus Eifersucht getötet? Denn er war nicht der einzige verliebte Mann in Ricardas Umfeld: Auch Nick Steinert, ein alter Freund Ricardas und ehemaliger Pilot, spricht von einem Hochzeitsversprechen mit ihr. Schumann ermittelt in alle Richtungen. Er wird dabei mit dem Traum vom Fliegen konfrontiert und muss erkennen, welch tödliche Folgen dieser mit sich bringt. (Text: ZDF)
