They're setting out to find a home in Deerfield Beach, Florida - a young beachfront community close to their jobs as a firefighter and yoga instructor, and perfect for their outdoor loving lifestyles . They're looking for a three-bedroom home with a pool and easy beach access, but they also want the home to really feel like a vacation getaway, a respite from the workweek. With their modest budget of $350,000 all in, most homes in the area they'll be looking for will need to be updated to match their vision. With the clock ticking on the baby's due date, these two will have to get to work to make their beachfront dream a reality.

Backyard Beachside Blowout in Emerald Isle, NC
After years of visiting Emerald Isle, North Carolina, with their three kids, Matt and Megann are ready to buy a weekend getaway home at the beach. After finding a fixer-upper in their budget, they have $50,000 to create a luxurious outdoor space with a pool, pergola and an outdoor kitchen. Can this family get it all, or will they have to make some sacrifices when unexpected issues pop up?

Going Big in Galveston, Texas
Mike, Mariellen and their two sons have vacationed in Galveston, Texas, for years, and now they're ready to buy a beach home of their own. Broker Barbara Zimmerman is here to help them find a house with a boat lift for fisherman Mike and convenient beach access for Mariellen. Mike is a contractor, so he and Mariellen are prepared to take on any renovations their house may need, including an updated kitchen, a guest suite and an outdoor shower. But as things get underway, they quickly realize that this project may be bigger than expected.

To save money, Brian and Candice plan to do some of the renovations themselves. But once they dive into the project, Brian and Candice quickly realize they could be in for much more than they'd bargained for.

The couple knows their new vacation home will require a full gut, including new kitchen, new bathrooms and a master suite, but as walls are opened and floors are torn up, Amanda and Anthony realize their $55,000 renovation budget might not cover all of the fixes this house needs.

Newlyweds Jamie and Emily both grew up going to the Jersey Shore for family vacations. Luckily, they have broker Dana Hartman-Hiltner to help with their search. They've got grand plans for their new home which include removing some walls and adding to their outdoor space, but a few rules and zoning laws could mean they'll have to switch up their plans. Will they get everything they want?

Carrie and Lee have been splitting their time between Nashville and Destin, Florida but they want to get their two sons out of the city and into the sunshine - permanently. With help from broker Needa Brannon, they look for a home their family can grow into, but the property they purchase needs work. Lee takes on most of the renovations himself, including an updated master suite and an outdoor addition. But as work progresses Lee finds that without a contractor on board, projects can quickly spiral out of hand.

Outer Banks Overhaul in North Carolina
Audra and Jason have been renting in North Carolina's Outer Banks for years, but they're ready to put their stamp on a house of their own. Their dream renovation includes gutting the kitchen, creating an open floor plan and an updated game room. When parts of the house aren't up to code, it may mean Audra and Jason have to scale back their plans -- or do a lot of the work themselves.

They have the expertise, so renovations should be a breeze. However, Mark and Fallon quickly realize that things can get very tricky very fast living in the same home they're renovating.

Steve and Stacie just moved to St. Pete Beach, Florida, and are looking to put down some roots. They find their perfect beachside home but it needs a ton of work. Renovation plans include a new outdoor space with a kitchen and patio, adding a brand new master suite and building a garage from the ground up where Steve can work on cars and motorcycles. They quickly realize that as the scale of the renovation increases, so does the budget.

Fripp Island Fix-Up
Jim and Sarah are looking for a diamond in the rough on the hidden gem of Fripp Island, South Carolina. They find a property with an unparalleled oceanfront overlook, then start creating a brand-new kitchen and updated floor plan that will maximize the view from every room. But when they start tearing up floors and ripping out walls, they run into some fun -- and not so fun -- discoveries.
