Volunteer probation officers are people who support the ex-convicts as they go through their probations. Agawa Kayo is a straightforward woman who wants to serve the community and recently became a volunteer probation officer after completing her trainings. Despite being a civil servant, Kayo receives no compensation from her work and has to make a living by working part-time at a convenience store. She meets three people who are released on parole and tries her best to help these ex-convicts to find their "place" in the society.
