Episode 1
Three expectant mums are planning for home births. Midwife Michaela hopes to assist junior doctors Rebecca and Tim with a water birth for their second child. Keeleigh's dreams of a home birth hang on her fourth baby, supported by her cousin and birth partner Leanne, and with head midwife Laura caring for her throughout. And Jodie hopes to give birth in the comfort of her bedroom with midwife Gemma by her side.

Episode 2
First-time mum Hannah has decided on a water birth. She's in safe hands under the watchful care of team leader Laura.
Midwife Steph is by the side of an NHS colleague who's planning to have her second home birth. Sonia works as a hospital ward midwife. However, it's not all plain sailing for Sonia and husband Ashok.
Midwife Gemma is caring for plumber Lysette and partner Pete. The couple met through a shared passion for an unusual hobby - World War Two re-enactments. In true vintage style, they hope their baby will be born at home.

Episode 3
Midwife Claire hopes to assist young couple Jasmine and Michael with a home birth for their first baby.
First-time mum Rosie, who has just moved to Bradford, is being cared for by team leader Laura, throughout her pregnancy.
Katherine has the support of her mum Sue, and hopes to give birth in the living room with midwife and team leader Laura by her side.

Episode 4
The midwives care for 18 year-old Jodie, who wants to give birth at home with her mum and boyfriend.
Former corporate banker Jules has ditched the rat race and now runs yoga classes from home. After two previous caesarean sections, Jules hopes for a water birth. She's in safe hands, under the watchful care of team leader Laura.
Miriam is originally from Germany and hasn't seen her mum for over a year. Miriam and midwife Gemma form a close bond as the pregnancy progresses.

Episode 5
The midwives care for three expectant mums planning for home births.
First-time mum Natalie wants a home birth, but has sold her current home and could be moving to a new house any day now. Midwife Leanna is the newest addition to the home-birth team, and is looking after Natalie throughout her journey.
Laura and the team care for local vicar Lucy, who wants a water birth at the vicarage, while Steph helps mum-of-three Claire, who is hoping for a home birth. Claire also wants to pass her driving test before she gives birth.
