Floating Zen Table
A blank slate backyard gets a taste of Asian flair with layers of redwood decks with a cool lounge fire pit area and a one-of-a-kind floating table with a specialty wood countertop. A synthetic lawn and horseshoe pit with custom-made backstop bars on either side, a tranquil basalt water feature and dry streambed and Asian inspired plants throughout the yard complete the transformation.

Tuscan Terrace
A barren back yard is transformed into a Mediterranean outdoor living space with a stone spa house, a pergola with Tuscan-style columns and a large cobble terrace. In addition, a fireplace flanked with water walls and a barbecue counter are built. Finally, Italian inspired plants such as olive, lavender, flax and cypress are added to the landscape.

Rustic Farmhouse Chic
An unusable farmhouse style backyard gets a rustic country makeover, which includes a wooden stoop with a custom doggie door, a farmhouse table with arbor and a one-of-a-kind branch chandelier hanging from above. A quartzite stone patio with stepping-stones, a unique metal fire pit and a dilapidated vintage door is repurposed into an outdoor bar countertop. And finally, a corrugated metal water feature and new sod and plants surround the yard.

Rustic Vinyl Lounge
These homeowners are huge music lovers and former band members, so Chris and his team incorporated into their backyard a unique vinyl record bar countertop with beer dispenser, stained the existing concrete and opened up their patio by removing some of their dilapidated overhang cover. They installed concrete stepping-stones into the new sod, which leads you to a floating redwood deck and pergola. Off to the side they created a unique water and fire feature all in one. And finally, they planted colorful low maintenance plants throughout the yard and a large specimen maple tree to admire.

Hawaiian Paradise
Chris finds Sacramento homeowners who are desperate to overhaul their terribly overgrown messy back yard. They want a space with a Hawaiian vibe where they can cook and dine among tropical foliage. Chris steps up and delivers a space that includes a new deck with boardwalk leading out to a step up concrete patio with a beautiful hanging rock water feature. In addition, Chris adds a large outdoor kitchen with grill and prep space that is all faced with bamboo. Lush flowers are added to complete the Hawaiian entertaining space.

Outdoor Racing Room
Matt finds Charlotte, North Carolina's biggest stock car fans and turns their boring back yard into an entertaining space inspired by their love of racing. Floor mats are laid out in a checkerboard pattern for the patio and an outdoor kitchen is added with a custom tool-chest barbecue along with a bar with a racetrack inspired concrete countertop. A step up to the winner's circle paver patio reveals a concrete "tire" fire pit, race car seating, water fall and curved arbor. Finally, privacy plants are added along with sod to complete the ultimate race car fan party pad.

Contemporary Bi-level Patio
Homeowner Danae begged Chris to come home with her, and when he did, he agreed that her bi-level patio was uninspiring and dull. Denae and her husband want a contemporary usable space to eat dinner, cook and relax. Chris delivers with a sleek design that includes a wood overlay for the lower patio, a tile overlay for the upper patio and a colorful wood retaining wall. He also includes a fireplace and lounge seating for below, a custom dining table for above and a modern water feature. Finally, he adds lots of trees and funky topiaries to ensure privacy.

Woodsy Hideaway
These homeowners love the great outdoors! Chris delivered their love to them, which includes a natural stacked stone fire pit and redwood log benches and decomposed granite patio. A massive gable style pergola with an outdoor kitchen loaded with a stainless steel BBQ grill, a granite counter prep station and a combination pizza oven and smoker all in one. Adjacent to the grill is a live redwood edge countertop and a stoned faced bar. A large family style dining table with redwood stumps for chairs, a beautiful stone water feature and a brand new colored stamped concrete patio with colorful lush plants surrounds the entire yard.

Yard Crashers Visits Blog Cabin in Central Florida
Chris and team head to Blog Cabin in Central Florida to transform the spacious backyard property into a relaxing and entertaining hang out. He builds a slatted privacy wall with built-in benches for lounging, complete with living walls to showcase Florida's lush landscaping. Nearby, he adds a metal fire pit with seating and a pebble pathway leading to the large cobblestone patio. On it, he builds two kitchen islands, one for dining and one for grilling that are faced in stone. Finally, he builds a bocce court and two waterski Adirondack chairs to complete this lakeside retreat.

Funky Food and Music Lounge
Transplants David and Kiki moved to Austin for the vibrant music and food scene, but their stark graveled yard is a far cry from an entertaining space. They want a place to play music and share food and cocktails with friends. Inspired by Austin's eclectic and funky scene, Chris designs an outdoor room with a lounge area with low bench seating and a covered pergola, grass for the couple's dog and an outdoor bar faced in wood and metal. He also adds a performing stage with a colorful plexiglass screen backdrop, a shell keg water feature and fence for privacy. Finally, for some fun, Chris adds a graffiti inspired dart board and a large building block game.

Traditional Country Deck
This small unusable deck is going big Texas style! Chris and his crew deliver in a big way by transforming a dead zone of a deck into a functional outdoor dining area with a custom prep station bar all on a new massive cedar deck. A natural flagstone patio with a fire pit gathering area and a tranquil bubbling moss water feature are added. And finally, large privacy screens are built with lush trailing vines and colorful plants to complete the yard.

Beefy Outdoor Pit Chairs
These homeowners are frustrated with the heap of trash in their yard. Chris and his crew transform this trashy trove into a treasure paradise with a beefy redwood pergola with a rain chain water feature and a custom faux dining table, a beautiful stamped concrete pad leading to a stone fire pit with custom made beefy lounge chairs and redwood block end tables. To soften the hardscapes, colorful plants and new sod is installed throughout the yard.

California Casual
Amanda and Tyler have a boring backyard. They'd like a place to eat and entertain so Chris agrees to help them with their vision. The existing covered deck is enhanced by updating the existing railing. A surround is built for Tyler's smoker so that it becomes his outdoor kitchen with a granite countertop prep area. The side stairs which were awkward are replaced with corner stairs that provide more room as well as drop down to a huge new concrete patio complete with a brick fire pit. A large metal water feature becomes the focal point of the yard. Wood and metal privacy screens are built to hide the back neighbor's house. Horse troughs are repurposed into raised planter beds. And finally, the master bedroom's landing is enlarged and a curved brick seat wall is added to make the space more cohesive. Large trees and colorful landscaping is added, along with new sod.
