1981

Wynne looks back at 1981 and some of the quirky and memorable stories to hit the news that year.
We say Hi-de-Hi to Ruth Madoc on the Russell Harty Show, meet a man who's dug his own grave - literally - and see Shakin' Stevens ahead of his show at Cardiff's New Theatre. Wynne has a go at the best-selling toy of the year, the Rubik's cube, Phillip Madoc plays Lloyd George in the TV drama series about his life, and the Welsh Evel Knievel goes for a world record in Swansea Airport, jumping over 14 cars.
Finally, the event of the year: Prince Charles marries Lady Diana. Wynne remembers the street parties, the dress co-designed by David Emmanuel and the couple's visit to north Wales.
