Wollfs Kollege Tom hält in einer Schule gerade ein Referat über den Polizeiberuf, als Schüler Benno zwei Mitschüler als Geisel nimmt. Tom versucht den Kidnapper zu beruhigen, aber der droht völlig durchzudrehen und will Tom erschießen. Der Beamte ist jedoch schneller. Als Wolff am Tatort eintrifft, ist Benno bereits tot, die Waffe und die Kugel, die Tom treffen sollte, sind nicht aufzufinden. Keiner glaubt dem Polizisten, nur Kollege Wolff hält zu ihm.
