Great Britain were hoping for a historic medal in the cross country skiing, and had their first Olympic speed skating athlete for 30 years. Czech snowboarder Ester Ledecka was back to defend her parallel giant slalom title, and if things had gone to form, Britain should have been battling for their first-ever mixed doubles gold in curling.

Clare Balding reviews the big events from day five in Beijing, where Great Britain's Charlotte Bankes was going for gold in the women's snowboard cross, while Mikaela Shiffrin was looking to regain her Olympic slalom title. Today's other four golds came in short track speed skating, big air snowboarding, luge and nordic combined.

Day 8 Highlights
Clare Balding and guests cast their eyes over the events of day eight in Beijing, where the seven golds included the women's short track 1,000m and the mixed team snowboard cross. And could Team GB keep their hands on the Olympic women's skeleton title, which a British athlete has won at the last three Games?

Day 9 Highlights
Clare Balding and guests look back at the highlights from day nine in Beijing, including the eagerly anticipated men's giant slalom and a busy day of action for the British curlers. The British men were in action twice in the Ice Cube, first against China then later against Denmark, while Eve Muirhead and the women's team also faced their Danish counterparts.

Day 10 Highlights
Clare Balding and guests look back at the highlights from day 10, including the freestyle skiing women's slopestyle final, in which Great Britain may have been represented. Day 13 Highlights
Clare Balding and guests look back at the highlights from day 13, including figure skating, alpine skiing and the final round-robin curling games for GB's men and women. Day 15 Highlights
