Zhao Shuangshuang, owner of a matchmaking agency, possesses the "Matchmaker's Eyes," a gift that allows her to see the "red strings of fate" connecting destined lovers. As a result, she becomes the top matchmaker in Lin'an City. Her biggest dream is to unite 81 couples and find her own destined love. Zhao crosses paths with Cheng Yin, a young Taoist who has sworn to destroy all matches made by "evil matchmakers" after his senior brother's tragic death. The two clash at every turn, challenging each other on every match they make. Over time, Cheng's feelings for Zhao grow without him even realizing—until her "first love," Cao Sui, returns. But the biggest crisis in their relationship soon follows, as Cheng discovers that Zhao might be connected to his brother's death. As they unravel the past, they eventually find happiness together, running the matchmaking agency side by side.
