Episode 1
Kathy Burke's comedy based on her teenage years in Islington, north London, starring Ami Metcalf and Aimee-Ffion Edwards. The story begins in 1979, as Kathy dreams of becoming a music journalist after being told she is too ugly to be an actress. Meanwhile, her best friend Mary is thrilled to score a date with an 18-year-old man who can get her into gigs and the pub.

Episode 2
Kathy excitedly prepares to go to a secret gig at a pub, but suffers a setback when her tape recorder gets smashed. Meanwhile, Mary and Larry mark their three-week anniversary in slightly inappropriate fashion, and Pretty Nun and Angry Nun argue about actresses. Comedy based on Kathy Burke's teenage years, starring Ami Metcalf and Aimee-Ffion Edwards.

Episode 3
Kath and Mary end up hitching a ride with an ice cream van man on their way to a haunted house. Angry Nun ruins Pretty Nun's excitement about a trip.

Episode 4
After receiving some good news, Kath works on her improvising skills to get Mary out of a right pickle.
