Arne Brauner calls Jana Winter to an assignment: Arne's school friend Axel Schreiber's wife and daughter have disappeared, the Husum colleague from the drug department. All traces end in the sea. When fishermen find the child's doll and jacket in the water, all hope seems lost. But then the sudden turn: a call that Hulda is missing in her language school. Her husband knew nothing of such a school. It turns out that amounts of money have been around for months flowed into another account and small things are missing in the family house. And then there are the withdrawals in the account – after the disappearance. Did Axel Schreiber's wife lead a double life? Are mother and daughter still alive? Jana and her team try to find out what could be behind the mysterious disappearance when the bodies of the missing are found. Where have Hulda and Flora been all the time? What are the motives for murder?
