Episode 4

Two best mates, two bikes and over 200 miles of beautiful French landscape. David Baddiel and Hugh Dennis, who've been friends for 40 years, pedal through France while getting up to mischief, exploring stunning local sights and having a good old chat along the way. On the final leg of their journey, David and Hugh head to the pretty Mediterranean port of Le Somail where, to David's delight, they give the biking a break and take a leisurely boat ride along the Canal du Midi. But they're soon both back in the saddle, to head to the city of Beziers and see the engineering genius behind the Nine Locks of Fonseranes - one of the most spectacular sights on the whole canal. Then it's off to a Languedoc vineyard for some wine and cheese tasting, which goes down a treat before the final push to the coast and the seaside town of Sète. But after all that pedalling, has Hugh converted his friend into a cyclist?
