Season 1
In this brand new original format, Hamish and Andy sit down with everyday Aussies who recount their hilarious true stories. Some of Australia's best known actors then come together to recreate the amazing tales of these ordinary people in a most extraordinary piece of television. Presented in two parts, Australia will experience the first five episodes of True Story with Hamish and Andy in the not-too-distant future, with the final five episodes airing later this year.

Rachel
In the premiere episode we meet Rachel, a bubbly and warm-hearted mother who always puts family first – a family that has been known to attract their fair share of bad luck, especially on holidays. But through sheer will and a sense of humour, Rachel's strength and optimism always gets them through.
While on a work trip to Hong Kong, Rachel's husband Mark, her two-year-old son Ashton and five-year-old daughter Brooke flew over to visit. After a week of lecturing in risk management, Rachel and her family are invited to dine with one of Rachel's students: a high-ranking government official.
But when they arrive at the unexpectedly fancy restaurant, Rachel's risk management skills are put to work like never before. When the special entrée is brought out, a local delicacy called Thousand Year Old Eggs, Rachel is willing to do whatever it takes to avoid eating the stinky and expensive dish. So, not wanting to be rude to her gracious hosts, she sneakily promises Mark that she will give him "anything" if he eats her eggs. He of course accepts the challenge – one they would all soon regret.

Stubby's 100m Sprint Story
Stubby takes us back to when he was a 15-year-old lifesaver trying to win a medal at the state champs. But while at the starting line in his speedos, his excitement over seeing the girl of his dreams means something unexpected pops up.

Sammie's Fainting Story

Phil's Millionaire Story
This true story follows Phil, who thought he'd taken a cushy job on a luxury resort in the Kimberley's. Instead, he finds himself on a run-down cattle station in the middle of nowhere, hosting two French millionaires on a holiday from hell.

Dani's Romantic Weekend Story
Dani's true story finds Dani reunited with her childhood crush, joining him on a romantic weekend in Margaret River. But in this shockingly personal tale, Dani explains in excruciating detail, why this date couldn't have gone any worse.

Sal's Big Fish Story
In Sal's true story, he catches the biggest fish of his life, a 30kg Spanish Mackerel. But after failing to heed the warnings from a mysterious fisherman, Sal eats the fish for dinner, giving the small local hospital a night to remember.
