The plight of a heart-attack victim and his tangled relationships set the stage for Tru's "redo" day, during which she discovers startling revelations concerning her mysterious associate.

A battle of wills pits Tru against Jack, who tells her to "stop messing with fate"---a warning that haunts her involvement in the destinies of her brother and a former lover.
