On her way to Australia, London lawyer Tamsin meets friends Lizzie and Callum for a one-night stop over in Bangkok. Joining them are Australians Ned (an Actor) and Nic (a teacher)on their way to London. While out for a night of fun before travelling to their final destinations, a tragic accident changes everyone's plans for travel, not to mention their lives.

Sam, Tasmin's fiance arrives in Sydney to take her home and Tamsin, finding it difficult to be excited about life in Sydney is tempted to take up the offer. Callum embraces his new sexual freedom but the freedom is not complete as he is hiding something darker. Ned is dealt a major bombshell and afterwards, homeless, Nic desperately boards with a fellow teacher until he finds out something oddly disturbing about his hosts.

It's safe to say that London hasn't lived up to English teacher Nic's expectations. After disaster struck in his new flat, he has found himself living with a fellow teacher and his rather interesting family. Nic is getting in alot of TV viewing! But just when Nic thought his life had truly hit rock bottom, he finds himself being blackmailed by a student with whom he had a one-night stand. Meanwhile, Jeremy - still reeling from the discovery that Ned is not his son - heads back to Australia from London to have it out with his ex-wife, Lydia. As for lovely Lizzie, she's still haunted by the tragic boating accident in Thailand.

Ned finally gets a role in a great acting role but just as things seem to be great for him, he walks away.Nic shoots for the stars when Richard Branson takes much interest in one of his ideas which could save his airline company millions of dollars.Callum is bailed out of detention centre and finally gets his life back together. He finds the perfect guy who falls in love with him. Tamsin ruins her career when giving information to the defense lawyer, who happens to be Jeremy.Lizzie gets a surprise when Jim's brother Robbie tracks her down and ends up sleeping with him. She finally reveals the devastating truth about Jim.

Just when Tamsin thinks her career is over, an unexpected source, Sam helps her and Tamsin makes a promise that she might not be able to keep.Callum finds out that his new boyfriend, Charlie is engaged but Charlie doesn't think that it should affect their relationship.Magnus reveals that he has feelings for Lydia. Will their relationship be changed forever?Ned does Lizzie a big favour by pretending to be her boyfriend to impress her sister. The thing is, Ned enjoys the act.Nic is finding it hard to cope with the pressures of his new job in the airline business. Will his new career be over before it began?

Tamsin prepares for her wedding to Sam which is held on The London Eye. Just as all of their closest friends and family are aboard and the ride has started, Tamsin admits to her affair with Nic.Nic is getting the hang of his new job and his colleagues appreciate him. He travels across the world to see Tamsin but she rejects his as a boyfriend.Callum returns to Lizzie after being kicked out of Australia and the couple are finally back in each others arms.Ned travels with Jeremy to Thailand to collect the adopted child after Annabel being admitted to hospital. Ned realises that his new brother is the same kid who lost his mother on the boat incident.
