Who can reach Monte Carlo first: Jeremy in the new Aston Martin DB9, or Richard and James travelling by high-speed train? James secretly test-drives the new City Rover, and Jeremy drives the Lotus Exige around the Top Gear track and tries to stop the Army's Apache gunship helicopter from getting a weapon's lock. The Star in a Reasonably Priced Car is Fay Ripley (Cold Feet, Reggie Perrin).

Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, Alfa Romeo 166, Cadillac Escalade
Jeremy Clarkson road-tests the Alfa Romeo 166. A nun drives a monster truck over a row of cars. Richard Hammond discovers why rappers sing about the Cadillac Escalade. James is in the pink as he takes Lady Penelope's new Ford FAB1 from the 2004 Thunderbirds movie out for a spin. Jeremy reports on the SLR, a supercar collaboration between Mercedes-Benz and McLaren. And celebrity hypnotist Paul McKenna does his lap in the Reasonably Priced Car, then causes Richard some very embarrassing moments.

Porsche 911 GT3 RS, Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale, 1968 Dodge Charger 440 R/T
The presenters are each tasked with buying a car for £100, which are then put through a number of challenges. Jeremy emerges the winner - three walls and one broken bone later. And Richard drives the Dodge Charger. Clarkson also reports on the Porsche GT3 RS and Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale. Richard Hammond drives the Dodge Charger. And outspoken celebrity model Katie Price (aka Jordan) is The Star in a Reasonably Priced Car.

Car Darts
Shamelessly borrowing their filming style from 24, Jeremy attempts to drive an Audi A8 diesel engine 800 miles to Edinburgh and back on one tank of petrol. James races a StreetKa with a sophisticated satellite navigation system against a professional homing pigeon. Jeremy and Richard play darts with cars and a compressed-gas cannon in a quarry. The new Porsche Carrera GT is tested to see whether it can break the lap record on the Top Gear track. The Star in a Reasonably Priced Car is three-times World Champion snooker ace, Ronnie 'The Rocket' O'Sullivan.

Hammond Gets Struck by Lightning
Richard road-tests 3 new family hatchbacks: the Vauxhall Astra, Mazda 3 and VW Golf. Jeremy gets into an MG ZT and smokes a pipe. Top Gear puts Richard in a Golf and attempts to fry him with lightning. The presenters race a Porsche, Jaguar and the BMW6 on a beach in Wales. And TV presenters Johnny Vaughan and Denise Van Outen blow up our Reasonably Priced Car.

Renault Clio 182, Jaguar XJS, Nissan Cube
Jeremy drives a Nissan Cube in an attempt to discover why it is Japan's bestselling car. James gives a modern take on a timeless classic: the Jaguar XJS. In Holland, Richard road-tests the Cadillac CTS. The Star in a Reasonably Priced Car is veteran DJ, chat show host and TV presenter, Terry Wogan. Richard investigates alternative fueling for motors and drives a methane-powered car. And the Renault Clio 182 is put through its paces on the Top Gear track.

Mercedes CL 65 AMG, Spyker C8 Spyder
Jeremy drives a Mercedes (CL65) with more power than Superman. James and Richard become minicab drivers in south London to road-test two new large hatchbacks: the Ford Focus C-Max and the Renault Scenic. Jeremy takes a Dutch car, the Spyker C8, for a spin on the Top Gear test-track. Mercedes CL65 raced against the Bentley Continental and the Aston Martin DB9. The Star in a Reasonably Priced Car is the legendary American singer, songwriter, record producer, Lionel Richie.

Ford GT, Toyota Prius, Maserati Quattroporte
In Sicily, James goes for a ride on a nimble mountain goat (the Maserati quattroporte). Richard says goodbye to a motoring icon: the Rover V8 engine. Jeremy and Richard race a diesel car against a petrol car of similar power. Jeremy takes "The fastest car you can buy in the world today" (the Ford GT40) for a spin on the test track. Top Gear borrows a Boeing 747 to see whether a Ford Mondeo and a Citroen 2CV can withstand its crosswind. And actor Martin Clunes (Men Behaving Badly, Doc Martin, Reggie Perrin) behaves not badly in A Reasonably Priced Car.

Best Convertible
Richard takes the Mazda MX5, Toyota MR2 and Fiat Barchetta out for a spin to find the recipe for the perfect roadster. We find out if it is really possible to parachute into a moving car. Richard and James find out why the Isles of Harris in Scotland is the perfect location to test a selection of cabriolets. Jeremy goes skiing on a snowy public road behind the new Jaguar X Type Estate. The Stig takes the Mercedes CL65 onto the test track. And intrepid explorer Sir Ranulph Fiennes discovers A Reasonably Priced Car.

The Olympic Long Jump Challenge
Richard takes a Peugeot 407 onto the racetrack. At an antiques fair, James enlists the help of Bargain Hunt presenter Tim Woonacott to find out what is the biggest thing you can fit in the back of a Volvo V50 Estate. Jeremy tries out BMW's latest lifestyle off-roader, the X3, and gets very wet. On the Top Gear track, Richard discovers that the new Corvette C6 breaks with tradition and goes round corners. The Star in a Reasonably Priced Car is Irish comedian and chat show host, Patrick Kielty.
