Hoe vind je goud dichtbij huis?
In deze laatste aflevering blikt Tom niet alleen terug op de hoogtepunten van de afgelopen zeven afleveringen maar test hij ook het boek 'Hoe vind je goud dicht bij huis?' De eerste plaats waar Tom goud gaat zoeken is op het Europees Kampioenschap goudpannen in de Ardennen. Hij maakt er kennis met Roland, een echte goudzoeker. Die vertelt Tom dat er in België inderdaad plaatsen zijn waar goud te vinden is. Tom ontdekt in zijn allereerste pan al enkele puntjes goud. Is hier sprake van beginnersgeluk? Dat is nog niet eerder gebeurd bij de opnames van dit programma. Volgens het boekje kan je ook aan het strand goud vinden en Tom besluit met een metaaldetector zijn kans te wagen. Een strand afzoeken naar goud met een metaaldetector ziet er een beetje belachelijk uit, maar het is niet de eerste keer in deze reeks dat Tom zich belachelijk maakt….
