As crews try to contain the massive wildfires in southern California, a new one has popped up, triggering more evacuations. It comes as the death toll continues to climb. President-elect Trump is set to face sentencing in his hush money case in New York City after the Supreme Court denied his last-minute appeal to block the proceedings. NBC's Garrett Haake reports for TODAY. Powerful Santa Ana winds are set to pick up again, making it challenging for firefighters to gain control of the severe wildfires in southern California. Meanwhile, a winter storm is bringing cold temperatures, heavy snow and ice to parts of the South. TODAY's Al Roker tracks the forecast.
