When a frustrated Mr. Furley shares with Jack that his niece is coming to town to spy on him for his brother, Jack offers to find someone to take her on a date in order to keep her out of his hair. However, Jack gets himself in a bind when he offers to set Veronica up with his identical twin brother, Austin, when Mr. Furley wants to meet him first.

When Larry and Jack are having some drinks at the Regal Beagle, they notice a pretty girl and start flirting with her. However, when her boyfriend arrives, it doesn't take long for him to start threatening the guys for talking to his date. While Jack takes his threats seriously, Larry starts egging him on, and as a result, the boyfriend sets his sights on fighting Jack in order to get them away from his girlfriend.

Jack and Janet become detectives when Cindy mysteriously vanishes.
