Episode 1
In the Dales, John and William Dawson gather their sheep from the slopes of one of Yorkshire's spectacular Three Peaks for a cooling summer shearing. In the Lake District, a father and daughter - members of a legendary Cumbrian climbing family - tackle a lofty Cumbrian crag. On Windermere, boat builder Hamish Paterson puts an Edwardian steam vessel through its paces. And in south Lakeland, a massive one-and-a-half-ton shorthorn bull kicks off during preparations for the biggest agricultural show of his year: the National Championships.

Episode 2
In the Lake District, farmer Kevin Holliday is preparing for an auction that could make or break his year. In the Dales, agricultural show fanatic Mandy Banks chases the prize she covets most - the best Victoria sandwich. It's also one of the biggest, and most controversial, annual occasions in the countryside, with the start of the grouse shooting season - the Glorious 12th. In Cumbria, Sweetheart Wood needs clearing of dead timber with the help of some hard-working ponies, while mountain rescue volunteer Pete Roe helps conserve an ancient bridge.

Episode 4
A Wensleydale farmer bids to become England's champion sheepdog trialler, the Muker Silver Band perform at the annual village show, and a blacksmith crafts an ornate horn burner.

Episode 5
A steam engine obsessive hits a problem restoring a remarkable piece of Cumbrian industrial heritage, while there is a race against time to launch a new cheese from the Dales.

Episode 6
The Dales village of Kettlewell prepares for its annual scarecrow festival, while David and Becca Corrie-Close are busy settling into their farm in the Lakes.
