The Bartender
Tems works her first Black and Scottish wedding making her reflect on her own Scottishness and acceptance as a young woman born and raised in Naija. Performed by Lola Aluko, Tems, who moved to Scotland to pursue a career in acting and modelling, acts as a commentator to the wedding event.

Gambling Uncle
Uncle GG tries to regain his dignity in the family through one last bet. A respected elder, but family outcast, Uncle GG finds himself at the wedding but also at a family crossroads
Performed by Bruce Fummey, the Gambling Uncle explores the complex relationship between a character still battling addiction but yearning to make good.

Teen Daughter
Amber reflects on her mixed-race heritage following the family gathering. Part teen rebel and filled with teen insecurity, the pressures of social media only make matters worse for Amber.
Performed by Nandi Hudson we hear the story of a young adult finding herself between cultures and virtual worlds, revealing the struggles of growing up in contemporary Britain.

Estranged Sister
Away from the family for years, Mary prepares herself for a long-awaited return. Along the way she recalls the events that alienated her in the first place. Performed by Moyo Akandé, this story paints the picture of a venerable yet outwardly-confident character still seeking redemption.

African Mother
An older African woman, rich in wisdom, muses over how the relationship between her Scottish daughter in law and herself has developed over the years. Performed by Michelle Chantelle Hopewell, we hear of the initial preconceptions and concerns the African Mother first had when she arrived in Scotland as they prepare for the traditional African wedding ceremony.

The Crow Girl
The Crow Girl begins with the gruesome discovery of a teenage boy's body discarded in plain sight. Determined to find who is responsible, DCI Jeanette Kilburn joins forces with psychotherapist Sophia Craven to hunt the killer despite opposition from her superiors including confidant DI Lou Stanley.
The investigation takes them into a dangerous world of historic abuse and murder.
