
The Tale of Xishi: Kingdom Rebuilt
In 494 B.C., the Kingdom of Wu defeated the Kingdom of Yue. King Goujian of the Kingdom of Yue became a slave and was humiliated for three years in the Wu Palace. After returning to his kingdom, Goujian endure countless hardship, utilized loyal talents Wen Zhong and Fan Li, and fought to revive the kingdom. Wen Zhong presented "Nine Strategies to Bring Down Wu". And Xishi, an ordinary washer girl bid farewell to her lover Fan Li and went to Wu with the intention of not being a conquered people. While the King of Wu, Fuchai and the ministers were wary of Goujian and repeatedly tested him, Xishi was always able to notice and warn them. She cooperated with Fan Li and the others, so that they could survive the danger. While the Kingdom of Yue was secretly gathering popular support, the Kingdom of Wu was instead boasting of its achievements, colonizing infinitely, and the power of the two kingdoms had become evenly matched. Goujian finally seized the opportunity as Fuchai fought for hegemony north to Huangchi, to conquer the Kingdom of Wu's capital Gusu and bring about the revival of the kingdom. Deferring to history, the story also tells the legend of Xishi and Fan Li's romance and sacrifice for the sake of the kingdom.

It won two Emmys for Outstanding Variety Series in 2013 and 2014, both of which appear to have been lost in the move. Colbert is pronounced koʊlˈbɛər, according to Wikipedia.
