Elisa is late to pick up her daughter Lucia from school when Rebecca, the mother of Lucia's new friend, suggests a sleepover for the girls. When she goes to pick Lucia up the next morning, she discovers Lucia's missing.

Episode 2
Elisa and Fred are in limbo as the police speculate that an organized criminal gang might be involved. Meanwhile, a mysterious prisoner, Marcus Turner, collects news clippings about Lucia's disappearance, and Fred's behavior is suspicious.

Episode 3
A flashback shows Rebecca preparing to abduct Lucia in Southern France, and in the present day, she reveals shocking news to Lucia. Meanwhile, Selma continues to investigate Elisa and discovers her dark past.

Episode 4
With Lucia still missing, the toxic backlash against Elisa triggered by Selma's article has worsened; Selma dives deeper into her research as she discovers the scandalous truth about Elisa and connects the dots of Lucia's kidnapping.

Episode 5
The story flashes back five years to Elisa's experience the day of the car accident; in the present day, a traumatized Nina returns to Central Toulon to retrieve Lucia's passport and things begin to spiral as problems arise from all angles.
