Episode 203

Joy Reid leads this episode of The ReidOut with House Republicans meeting behind closed doors once again to try and decide on their next nominee for speaker as they reach 20 days without one. The presumed leading candidate is Republican House Majority Whip Tom Emmer of Minnesota, who is just one of two potential candidates who upheld the 2020 election. Meanwhile, in the Middle East, two more hostages were released by Hamas Monday as an Israeli ground assault on Gaza looms. Former Deputy National Security Advisor Ben Rhodes and MSNBC host Ayman Mohyeldin join Joy to discuss this and the fear of a broader conflict brewing in the region with reverberations spreading throughout the world. Joy and her guests also discuss the issue of misinformation on social media sparked by the Israel-Hamas war.
