Married to Lee Bang Won, son of King Taejo, she supported her husband's ambitions to become King Taejong after his father bypassed him for the throne. As a kingmaker, she helped establish a new regime. However, their relationship soured after Lee Bang Won became king, took concubines, and sought to curb Queen Won Kyung's influence and that of her family.

Won-gyeong makes Chungnyeong reveal his vision to his father directly, providing the basis for Bangwon to decide on Chungnyeong as the crown prince... As soon as he ascends the throne, Chungnyeong establishes the foundation for the great Joseon Dynasty that his mother, Queen Wongyeong, had dreamed of so much and makes it blossom.
