First of two special festive editions of the popular reality series. There is fun and drama aplenty as some of the gang head off to Liverpool for a very Mersey Christmas. How will Lockie react when Danni reveals all about her new love interest? Pete and Megan are back on, but for how long? Dan also faces up to the fact that his ex is moving on, but is he really ready to let Kate go for good? Back in Essex, some of the girls hit a secret Santa singles night, while Gemma organises a festive extravaganza with the help of Bobby, Lauren and Chloe S. After visiting a turkey farm in search of Christmas dinner ingredients, can they face the reality of what might end up on their plates?

Second part of this year's festive visit to Essex. Danni faces a dilemma in the wake of Lockie's reaction to her news. Dan finally realises that he wants Kate back, but is it too late? There could be more drama in store when Chloe L reveals that Jon has been secretly messaging her. Bobby offers Gemma an olive branch following their latest tiff, but will she be able to forgive and forget and support him on his next Bobby Gets Brave challenge?

Following three series of the Merman-produced, BAFTA award-winning series Motherland, a brand-new spin-off, Amandaland, is coming to the BBC, focused on Amanda.
Post her divorce, Amanda has had to downsize and up sticks to South Harlesden, or as the Estate Agent calls it SoHa (definitely not the area around Wormwood Scrubs prison).
With both Manus and Georgie now at secondary school, Amanda has to try and get her head around raising teenagers, dealing with modern motherhood horrors like teenage drinking, fake Instagram accounts and eco anxiety. Not even a woman as certain of her parenting as Amanda can deal with these nightmares alone.
Then there's Amanda's mother Felicity who is constantly around, and completely in denial that she is, in fact, lonely. Theirs is a slightly unhealthy co-dependent relationship based on backhanded compliments and veiled snipes about her new home.
After a brief spell of freedom, Anne is sucked back into being Amanda's minion to help her navigate the social scene with the other parents at the children's new school. Thank God for Anne.
