Episodes

The Murder of Tupac Shakur
Romesh heads to the US, channelling his exacting incompetence into the death of rapper Tupac Shakur.
Tupac was a trailblazing rapper who delivered a unique mix of gangster rap, poetry and social commentary. In a short but blistering career, he angered politicians and dominated the charts, even dating the queen of pop Madonna herself as he catapulted himself from the streets of South Central LA to global fame. His shooting, after a Mike Tyson fight in September 1996 in Las Vegas, shocked the world; he died six days later at the age of just 25. Despite multiple leads being explored at the time, nobody has ever been convicted of his murder.
Step forward Romesh Ranganathan – a comedian with no experience of criminal investigations whatsoever – who is going to attempt to crack the case once and for all.

The Death of Nancy Spungen
Romesh explores the punk scene, looking into the death of Nancy Spungen, the girlfriend of Sex Pistol Sid Vicious, who was found dead in the Chelsea Hotel in New York in 1978 at the age of just 20.
The Sex Pistols were the world's most controversial band when they burst onto the punk scene in the 70s, shocking the nation with their extreme aesthetic and on- and off-stage behaviour. In the midst of their fame, American teenager Nancy Spungen arrived in London to be part of the scene. She met Sid Vicious shortly after, falling in love and becoming inseparable from him. Disliked by the band and suffering from mental health issues, 18-year-old Nancy was vilified by the press and fans.
Just two years later, at the age of just 20, Nancy would tragically die in a New York hotel room, with Sid suspected of killing her. He would die himself less than a year later, and to date, no charges have ever been brought regarding her death. Step forward Romesh Ranganathan – a comedian with no experience of criminal investigations whatsoever – who is going to attempt to crack the case once and for all.
