The Tender Trap / Bait and Switch
In Texas a young man is set up for a robbery when he answers an ad for a car in a town a hundred miles from his home. He is carrying cash and the supposed buyer demands the money. Police have a witness but her description isn't going to be definitive. In Miami a man who owns a small business is shot multiple times and robbed. The early investigation finds that the man had a proclivity for dating every woman he could and keeping pictures and clothing from those contacts. Detectives start their investigation with the assumption this is a revenge killing.
