The Cop And The Kid - Season 1

Policeman Frank Murphy experiences an asthma attack while trying to apprehend a youth named Lucas and his dog. In a perplexing decision, the judge makes Murphy the boy's guardian.

Frank is excited about his undercover assignment until he learns he must be disguised as an elderly woman.

Lucas is unjustly arrested for shoplifting. A broken-hearted Frank is too upset to accept Lucas's explanation, so the youngster packs his bags and runs away with his dog.

One thing Lucas learned from his biological dad was gambling doesn't pay. So, the young boy decides to run football pools out of the police station instead.

Frank's boss asked him to watch his son for a weekend so he and his wife could get away.

After Lucas starts to admire Lee, a SWAT officer, Frank seeks to achieve tasks that will make Lucas look up to him.

Social worker Mary suggests to Frank that his dealings with Lucas would go better if he were more even-tempered.

When Frank receives a call to discuss Lucas's schoolwork, he becomes attracted to the teacher, Eileen.

Frank's constant worrying has been in overdrive for the past two weeks. First, he's up for a promotion, and then he's concerned about a pain in his stomach that won't go away.

Lucas' new social worker sees through his plan to wheedle a new bike out of Officer Murphy.

Officer Frank Murphy's mother is mistaken for a woman with money.

A real cool cat from Lucas' past arrives back in town.

Frank and Lucas become involved in a cafe which is being used for illegal gambling. (Final episode of the series)
