Season 1

Episodes

The Cancellation of Benny Hill
A profile of the 1970s and 1980s comedian, who fell out of favour when his once-popular TV sketch show was criticised for containing sexist, risqué and vulgar content that would be considered unacceptable by today's standards. The documentary delves into Benny's past and the work that made his career, and asks members of the younger generation to review his sketches to find out if they find them funny or offensive.

The Cancellation of Kenny Everett
DJ and comedian Kenny Everett was never afraid to tell the world what he really thought in a career chequered with controversy. In 1970 he was infamously fired from his job at the BBC for making an accusatory comment about a government minister's wife. This documentary explores how he was never afraid to ruffle feathers, hearing from those who loved him for his candour as well as those offended by his comedy.
