Progress looks promising, but the CIA appears to be withholding crucial intelligence on a possible bombmaker.

Scottish police hit on a promising new lead. With new evidence and forensic breakthroughs, investigators start to piece together an image of how the bomb could have slipped through airport security and entered the system. The Frankfurt luggage list combined with bomb-damaged clothing leads Scottish CID to a small, family-run clothes shop on the Mediterranean island of Malta. Could this have been the origin of the Lockerbie bomb?

Episode 5
The ongoing joint Scottish and FBI investigation closes in on the identity of the ‘mystery shopper'. Together, the teams work to uncover the co-conspirators behind the Lockerbie bomb plot. Vital progress is threatened by troubled relations between international agencies.
