Rory summons the Birch to take revenge on her crush. Returning to King's Point, Evie rushes to get to Moses before the Birch does.

The Favorite Child
With baby Laura in tow, Evie meets Rory- a girl who would love to be her twin sister - to warn her about the Birch's twisted power. Learning that her revenge spell worked, Rory targets her next victims.

Asylum
While Rory continues her quest for revenge against everyone who's wronged her, Evie finds refuge with Jihan, a social worker who believes Evie is a young mother fleeing an abusive relationship. But Jihan's brother, Razi, isn't so trusting.

Time to Atone
Rory puts her dark plan in motion, preparing to sacrifice hundreds of her classmates. When the Birch attacks at the community center, Jihan must decide if she's going to trust Evie's word or walk away.

Into the Roots
Rory livestreams her last message as she seeks revenge on everyone who ever hurt her, while Evie and Jihan go to a place where nothing grows to meet the one other living person with knowledge of the Birch.

Post her divorce, Amanda has had to downsize and up sticks to South Harlesden, or as the Estate Agent calls it SoHa (definitely not the area around Wormwood Scrubs prison).
With both Manus and Georgie now at secondary school, Amanda has to try and get her head around raising teenagers, dealing with modern motherhood horrors like teenage drinking, fake Instagram accounts and eco anxiety. Not even a woman as certain of her parenting as Amanda can deal with these nightmares alone.
Then there's Amanda's mother Felicity who is constantly around, and completely in denial that she is, in fact, lonely. Theirs is a slightly unhealthy co-dependent relationship based on backhanded compliments and veiled snipes about her new home.
After a brief spell of freedom, Anne is sucked back into being Amanda's minion to help her navigate the social scene with the other parents at the children's new school. Thank God for Anne.
