The Bill - Season 5

Burrnside is given wrong information by Ramsey before an early morning raid. New D.S Greig turns up playing the clarinet. 

Ramsey and Haynes speak to a shoplifter who claims she is innocent. While they are out the back, the shop is being held up. Dashwood has got a new suit..

A councillor's drug addicted daughter causes trouble for Ackland and Stamp. 

Edwards, Yorkie and Ackland try to enforce a child protection order on a gypsy family. 

Yorkie and Martella attend to a woman who enters the station with a head wound. Ramsey and Ackland find a gang of drunks under a flyover. 

Stamp and Brind bring a drunk into the station, who later tells Peters that he killed someone and then passes out. 

Brind and Melvin attend a workshop where workers are in dispute. Martella brings two girls who are trying to catch a lift to Manchester and Cryer has a toothache. 

Reports of a strange smell leads Melvin discovering a body in a flat. 

Haynes goes undercover as a driver to investigate a gang who are responsible for a murder and drug dealing. 

Burnside's goddaughter lies in intensive care following a drug overdose. 

Ramsey is determined to teach some schoolchildren a lesson. Brind tackles a gang that smash car windows for handbags. 

Roach stands by and watches a man get beaten up. Martella tries to prevent a father taking revenge on his daughter's violent boyfriend. 

Cryer discovers a young boy has been abusing his mother. Dashwood seeks the common link in a state of burglaries. 

Cryer's son could be the key to arresting two local drug dealers. 

The results of the drug raid leads to unrest in the community. 

June and Taffy are called in off the street to the death of a baby. 

Burnside gets caught in a trap for corruption and Cryer witnesses a bombing. 

Yorkie goes undercover with a gang of football hooligans. 

Roach has an unsuccessful date with a married woman but instead bumps into his old boss. 

A fight at the market causes problems for the officers at Sun Hill. 

Roach tries to clear up a case of young girls being attacked. 

P.C Melvin is called to an abandoned factory with dire consequences. 

Sun Hill officers join with the area vice squad to break a pornography ring  one of the villians is tipped off and escapes. Was it Burnside that let him know they were coming?

Roach puts his all into his current case of a gold bullion robbery. 

Martella and Yorkie are in charge of "tidying up "unsolved missing persons cases. 

Sun Hill gets a visit from the fraud squad. 

Roach goes undercover in order to find out about a lottery scam. 

Yorkie and Ramsey arrest an armed robbery responsible for several post office hold ups. 

CID bring in a suspect who is implicated in several post office robberies. 

Martella is visiting a remand prisoner and ends up being held hostage. 

The death of a bigomist leads Tosh and Greig to a confusing and difficult conclusion. 

An Italian lorry driver causes chaos at Sun Hill 

A night out leaves Burnside, Carver and Ramsey in the middle of a Italian tuft war. 

CID are keeping an eye on a man who is suspected of the illegal shipment of arms to Third World countries. Yorkie deals with a couple who have had their vehicle stolen. 

Roach is accused of attempted murder. 

Taffy and Brind visit the parents of a missing girl before starting door to door enquiries in the neighbourhood. 

After driving a Rolls Royce back to the station, Haynes finds something valuable in the boot of the vehicle. 

Ackland visits a woman with agoraphobia, while Sun Hill investigates a series of burglaries. 

Burnside  must find evidence to catch the father of on of his old school friends. Meanwhile Melvin recovers from an attack. 

Brind and Stamp delve into the heart of a serious domestic. 

A scuffle in the market place leads to a disagreement between Cryer and Frazer. Ramsey and Brind investigate a shoplifting. 

An industrial dispute by prison officers put pressure on Sun Hill's holding cells. 

A contractor tips waste illegally. The results are disastrous even for Burnside. 

Carver and Dashwood have a chemist shop under observation. 

Carver investigates a burglary and finds the burglary unconscious in the victims back garden. Far from being a quick result, it's the start of a whole lot of problems. 

Hollis surprises everyone at Sun Hill  Carver and Lines fail to capture a wanted man.

Yorkie attends a fatal road traffic accident and makes some poor decisions because of shock, this leads him to question his commitment to police work. 

A bomb scare at a Shopping complex has Sun Hill officers on their toes. Brind has a scare of a different kind when she answers a call to a luxury flat. 

Dashwood has problems with a man in a blue sweater, It's Cathy Marshall's first day as collator. 

Ackland and Martella find a body in the local park. Burnside and Carver are looking for a villian they have been after for years. 

Hollis is back on the beat. A new copper first day is almost his last as old villians rake over the past. 

Interviewing a juvenile offender in the presence of a parent is never a policeman's favourite task. It's a job that Dashwood finds particularly difficult. 

Brownlow has called for an economy drive at Sun Hill and everyone is feeling the pinch. 

A young burglar shops his victim, while Brownlow almost makes the gaff of his life. 

A hit and run accident has unexpected complications. Cryer returns, worse for wear, from walking the beat with Turnham.

Vital evidence is withheld  - but Carver and Burnside can do nothing about it. Taffy and Garfield are dogged by misfortune. 

Tosh Lines has some loose ends to tidy up before taking his annual leave - but everything he does causes more problems. 

A light plane , off course, on a mysterious trip. Melvin and Ackland, on course with a prisoner and friends. 

Tosh Lines's wife goes to the see the bank manager - with tragic consequences as Ramsey is shot. 

Cryer and Frazer have to keep Sun Hill going,  but Haynes and Lines find it hard to come to terms with recent events. 

Martella is assigned to follow up domestic violence cases and discovers some harsh and unexpected truths. 

Tosh Lines has a reputation as a easygoing policeman until he meets local hard man Davy Box. 

Roach faces his last chance of promotion while Burnside takes to the air in more ways than one. 

Roach has a professional hangover but hangover or not, he still wants to the truth,  even if occasionally he has to con it out with a villian. 

Yorkie is starting a new life up North. But there are some scores to settle before he can get away. 

Brownlow discusses the theory of riot policing with fellow senior officers. On the streets of Sun Hill Ackland and Stamp are getting to grips with the real thing. 

While Stamp and Taffy chase after an unsuccessful burglar , Haynes has to stop and take a look at his whole future in the force. 

As the latest recruit to Sun Hill , Cathy Marshall has to take her fair share of practical jokes. But she can give as good as she gets. 

Brind and Peters are drawn into a web of petty crime and villainy when they investigate a road travel accident. 

An unfortunate discovery concerning a man released from overnight custody brings some officers under scrutiny. 

Roach faces serious disciplinary action when a prisoner in his custody becomes a victim of a vicious attack. He is given less than twenty four hours to find the unknown assailant. 

Carver suffers under Burnside's so called supervision , Cryer and Brind hunt for a fireman's helmet for his nephew's birthday present. 

Peters may have been a policeman for over twenty years,  but he still manages to get himself into trouble.  A chapter of accidents befall him in Sun Hill's custody area. 

Peters tries to repair the damage from the Lay Visitors inspection. Stamp, Melvin and Hollis meet up with Thompson Junior and his band of nasty juveniles. 

Garfield gets involved with an elderly lady while Cryer is looking for a missing younger one and Norika Datta has her first day at Sun Hill. 

When he tries to deal with a mentally ill woman. Stamp find himself in a  house fire.

Greig and Dashwood interrogate Eric Taylor a suspect of a armed robbery.
