On the Wrong Side of the Fence
PC Sheelagh Murphy turns to her Catholic faith for guidance after her son Conor's announcement that he is gay, but the Church is not very helpful to her. She then asks PC Lance Powell for advice, but he tells her it's up to her to sort things out with her son. Murphy and Powell deal with a domestic violence case between two gay men, but when they hand the case on to CSU, DS Phil Hunter convinces the victim not to proceed. When Conor doesn't come home, Sheelagh accompanies Lance and Mark on a night out at a gay club to find him, and they witness the domestic violence first hand. DS Debbie McAllister is determined to prove that DCI Jack Meadows is making a mistake by reconciling with Rachel Heath. To prove Rachel is still ""on the game"", she gets PC Gary Best to call Rachel and make an appointment at a hotel. Meadows confronts Rachel at the hotel, but she insists she was merely going to hand the client on to a friend. DCs Rob Thatcher and Ken Drummond investigate an arson attack on an ice

Malory Towers

Based on the hugely popular book series of the same name by Enid Blyton, Malory Towers is a live-action series following 12-year-old Darrell Rivers as she leaves home for the first time to attend an all-girls' boarding school. Set in the 1940s on the sun-drenched cliffs of the Cornish coast, Malory Towers explores this nostalgic world of midnight feasts, lacrosse, pranks, and lasting friendships. For a contemporary audience, the show is both aspirational and inspirational, telling the story of universal experiences include shifting cliques, FOMO, bullying, crushes, peer pressure, and self-doubt. The girls keep an eye on each other and, like a family, are forever connected by their shared experiences.

EastEnders

Set in the East End of London, the show focuses on the tensions between love and family with stories ranging from hard-hitting social issues, to personal, human tragedies. And there's plenty of funny moments too.

Classic characters old and new across thousands of episodes have shared a drink in The Queen Vic, shed tears of despair or joy, sat on Arthur's bench in the Square... and at some point or other they probably crossed paths with Ian Beale.
