Episode 8

Nigel Havers welcomes five more sets of sellers to the Bidding Room, where they will try to persuade one of the five dealers to buy the items they are trying to sell.
Before facing the dealers, each seller meets Nigel and auctioneer Simon, who will value their items. Simon will also give them top tips on the history and key characteristics of their piece, so that when they enter the bidding room, they have all the information they need to try to haggle the best possible price from the dealers.
All the dealers are spending their own money but have no idea what the sellers are bringing in each day. If they like an item, then they will bid against one another to try to buy it. The more dealers who bid, the more chance the seller has to push up the final price tag. But the sellers don't have to sell if they don't think the dealers are offering enough money; especially if the bids don't reach expert Simon's valuation.
First through the doors today is another Nigel, with a £20 note he has had for the last 30 years that is missing the Queen's head. Verified as being a genuine printing error by the Bank of England, could this rare novelty piece turn out to be a licence to print money for Nigel?
Next in are Anika and her daughter Amelie with a silver bowl that young Amelie picked up from a car boot sale and has used to store hairbands. The bowl, thought to be over 100 years old, was made by the White Starline, who equipped the Titanic. Can the pair convince the dealers to spend big and sail away with a profit?
Third in is Alvin with a poster from the 1970s West End production of The King and I, starring and signed by legendary actor Yul Brynner. With 70s styling en vogue, will the poster be given a fashionable spot on one of the dealer's walls?
Next into Yorkshire HQ is Carlo with an Edwardian-style plafonnier – a dramatic French glass lampshade. It's a large piece, best suited to a big space, but with dealer Jane bidding, whose clients have large country homes, could she be the best bet to give Carlo the deal he wants?
Last to face the dealers is Anne, with an unloved family heirloom - a gift from her mother that she considers takes the biscuit. The Edwardian biscuit barrel by royal jewellers Mappin Brothers (now Mappin and Webb) has been hidden at the back of Anne's cupboards for decades, and she has decided now is the time to find it a new home - but will the dealers bid crumbs for it or the solid silver deal it deserves?
The dealers in today are Ian, Jacqui, Adi, Jo, James, Jayne, JB and Tash.
