Unlike Veresov, Titov is not without sin; the man has been wanted for five years for the murder of livestock specialist Ignat Mirokhin. What if relatives or friends of the deceased tried to find and punish the killer? Korablev finds out that the only relatives of the murdered Mirokhin are his mother and brother - Ivan Mirokhin, who moved to the Northern capital two years ago and is now engaged in computer repairs. The operatives meet with the suspect's business partner and find out that Mirokhin disappeared without reaching his last client.
