I Södertälje står familjer, polis och kriminella mitt i en korseld av lojaliteter, krav och skuld. Samtidigt försöker några unga människor hitta en väg till ett bättre liv. Runt de vuxna kriminella rör sig de yngre, springisarna. De säljer knark och riggar flyktmopeder, tills de en dag tvingas ta sig an farligare uppdrag med en blandning av skräck och stolthet.  Det är också en berättelse om deras familjer; undrande syskon och förtvivlade föräldrar som kämpar för att hålla sina barn på rätt köl.

16-year-old Gabriel is forced to move after his father makes a big mistake. In the new neighbourhood of Ronna, he is welcomed by the criminal Marko. Gabriel's basketball-playing sister Magda has just joined the city's elite team Taelgia. Sibel moves home and becomes the first Syrian police officer in Södertälje.

Baloo gives Isac a bold lesson as a favor to Magda. Gabriel and Rami find Marko in a bad situation, but Baloo steps in at the last second. Sibel meets the person behind the mysterious phone voice. Gabriel, Marko and Baloo find themselves in the line of fire.

Marko receives a very serious call and asks Gabriel for help. Sibel warns Magda and meets with Jano. Magda finds a drawing of a weapon and becomes worried. She tries to get hold of Gabriel but he and Marko have already left for the last mission.
