Suranne begins in the Lancashire town of Pendle, where she grew up, which was the site of one of the most notorious mass executions for witchcraft in English history. She also travels to Germany, the epicentre of brutal witch trials that swept through Europe 400 years ago.
Part 2
Suranne's investigation takes her to the site of the most infamous witch trials of all - the American town of Salem. Suranne discovers how the phrase 'witch hunt' is being used today by powerful men, like Donald Trump, to paint themselves as victims, and how the Salem legacy continues to impact the rights of women today.
