Begoña reveals to Andrés that her aunt is in a mental sanatorium, and that they want to give her electroshock therapy. Jesus tells his wife the reasons why he does not want to share a table with his cousins: his uncle Gervasio was an unbalanced man, he took his own life and his children are the branches of that rotten tree. Gema is excited about the idea of sitting next to her rich family, but everything is cut short when Jesús appears demanding her husband to prepare an urgent order at the factory. Dinner time arrives and Luz appears unexpectedly, a surprise for Luis. Jesús, Gema and Joaquín are missing from the table, Jesús shows up drunk and breaks the moment: the Merinos are cursed. Luis confronts Jesus. Tension between Digna and Damián when they meet in the hallway of the house, they are about to kiss when Damián suggests that she could be the woman of that house, Digna rejects, for her it is just an impossible dream to have.
