Chris Hackett uses junk to fabricate quirky inventions for modern life. Abandoned in the desert and determined to stay cool, he melts bullets, explodes a solar chimney and assembles a propane-powered flamethrower in an effort to beat the heat.

Leaving on a Jet Train
Alone in an abandoned rail yard, Hackett uses the old train wreckage around him to motorize a Victorian hand cart, fire up a super-hot invisible hydrogen flame, and turn wood into an explosive gas - all in an effort to build his own personal locomotive.

Laundromat of the Gods
Stuck in a junkyard Hackett gets grime from rotting cars all over him, so he sets out to make a washer & dryer from an old car. He must build a welder, reinvent the spin cycle, and turn exhaust fumes into the heat he needs to dry his clothes.

Hospital of Horror
Stuck in an abandoned hospital with night approaching, Hackett must use obtanium to create electric light. He risks electrocution, builds a lamp that can set itself on fire, creates dazzling but flesh-eating limelight and turns water into a red-hot flame.

The Suburbs Are for Suckers
Hackett is at an abandoned suburban house. Rather than pay outrageous electric fees, he decides to create his own power. Hoping that by combining a car engine with a table saw motor, he can get the power that will allow him to enjoy life in the suburbs.

Dirt Boat
In an airplane graveyard on a dry lakebed, Hackett is inspired to build a high-speed land yacht. He'll build his own aluminum-melting foundry, turn a heavy airplane wing into a sail and take his chances in a dirt boat held together with homemade parts.

Really Freaking Fast Food
Using discarded food from a grocery dumpster, Hackett attempts to make his own fast food empire. To industrialize the food making process, Hackett uses 5000-degree metal fire to cook his burgers and a potato cannon to make french fries.

Do Bears...?
Hackett finds himself at an abandoned RV camp in the middle of the woods. The camper lacks indoor plumbing, so he sets out to build a bathroom & shower from the discarded items onsite. But he runs into an unexpected challenge heating water for his shower.

Hackestivus!
Hackett decides to create a holiday for himself, Hackestivus, and make fireworks to celebrate. He builds fountains that shoot stars, even a rocket, but as the sun begins to set, Hackett finds himself racing the clock to get his fireworks set before dark.

Hot Tub on Ice
In need of rest Hackett leaves the hustle and bustle of the city and escapes to the mountains. Finding himself buried under tons of snow in a small cabin with no heat, he has to find a way to survive ten thousand feet above sea level.
