"Століття Якова" (Century James) is a kind of epic biography of one-Polissya Ukrainian, which in its centenary age survived five countries: the Russian Empire, the UPR, Poland, Hitler's Germany, Stalin's Soviet Union. Ukraine before reaching the state it was before and the family and national drama that was programmed catastrophes of XX century. In terms of plot as if the novel is in three planes - the last hundred years polis'ky farmer from the village of Jacob Zahoryeny , five years before, when he rescues Lena addict who wandered into his village, and for almost the entire twentieth century.
