The Angel of the North

The Rev Canon Kate Bottley is at the Angel of the North for its 25th anniversary to discover the inspirational power of this spectacular sculpture.
We meet the artist who designed the piece, Sir Antony Gormley, to hear about his process and intent for the project. The former Bishop of Jarrow tells Kate how the Angel offered a place of prayer and worship and shares his belief in the hope that angelic figures can offer. Before joining a local family on an angel adventure, Kate finds out about the original Angel of the North, Sister Winifred Laver, who dedicated her life to helping others.
