Britain, 1999. A computer mix-up places lowly-paid Gavin Sinclair (John Gordon Sinclair) in the rich South sector, while rich businessman's son Giles Tewkesbury (Adrian Edmondson) finds himself being sent North.

8 May 1999
Gavin and Giles settle in to their respective hotels on either side of the border. Gavin revels in luxury he's never seen before, while Giles struggles with an impoverished world where the police are a publicly-owned company.

15 May 1999
Mr. Haverty grows suspicious about Gavin's high income, and so arranges to spike his drink with truth serum in order to find out what's going on. Meanwhile, Giles struggles to find somewhere to live in the northern wastelands.

Episode 4
Mugger Robbie Calhoon (Steven O'Donnell) forces Giles to attempt to rob a bank, while Gavin is indoctrinated into the Loyal and Modern Order of Thatchers.

21 June 1999
Giles is forced to work 15 hour shifts preparing batteries for the robot workforce. Gavin's life continues to take a better turn as he's invited to a society ball, though there are signs his fortunes may be beginning to unravel.

7 July 1999
Gavin is sent North as a troubleshooter on a mission to break the robot strike by any means necessary. While there he meets Giles, who is finally able to piece together what had caused his drastic change in lifestyle.

4 August 1999
Giles has been sectioned in a mental institution after no one believes he's really who he claims. Gavin plans to resign in protest for the way things have been handled, but can be really help save Giles?
