In the opener, T.J. has trouble learning the ropes outside the classroom and pays the price for breaking ""The Code,"" which states you never rat on a friend. The friend in question is Mo, a star player on the school's basketball team. When T.J. tattles on Mo for smoking in the boys room, Mo is suspended from the team and misses an important game. Ostracized and unhappy, T.J. hatches a misguided plot to make amends by sabotaging the rival team's report cards.
