Fed up with playing second fiddle to Ruby, Karl decides to move into personal chauffeuring with the goal of earning enough to move out of Norma's.

A health scare triggers an existential crisis for Karl, so he decides to travel to his home town to right a wrong from the past that has been holding him back.

A comedy club gig provides an unexpected revelation as Karl hunts high and low for a daytime laugh that will stop him chuckling in his sleep.

Karl realises he has not moved on since his break-up with Zoe, but with Ruby and her boyfriend going through a difficult time, the scene is set for him to make his move.

The End
Karl reluctantly travels to New York with Ruby to meet Norma's family, but the trip brings the pair closer together.
