Reinaldo's life is shaken when his wife is shot and goes into a vegetative state. Faced with a very high hospital bill and with no prospect of seeing his wife improve, Reinaldo opts for euthanasia. However, unexpectedly she wakes up.

Reinaldo expects to return to his normal life, but the church and its parishioners aren't done with Pastor Rei. Now, Paulo, a member of the church and the hospital nurse who filmed the "miracle", wants Reinaldo's help to bring his mother.
