Origami Office/Guest Lounge

A bland room off the garage serves as a young couples' makeshift home office. They get a multifunctional makeover with the addition of both an office and guest lounge in one. A Wall Bed is installed with an alcove of cabinets and shelves to provide both storage and a sleeping area. The alcove is faced with wood flooring, and another wood flooring is used to create a desk created from metal vintage desk legs. The installation of a vintage wall unit that can be used for a bar, a charging station and an LP storage system continues the mid century multifunctional theme. A handmade textile storage pocket system and origami paper curtains bringing in pops of color of orange and greens. New handrails from plumbing pipe and grasscloth wallpaper provide finishing touches on an origami themed space that functions as both a home office and a comfortable guest room.
